Here is the sketch for this week:

I needed to make a baby card this week for our neighbours so decided this sketch was perfect. I know my interpretation is VERY loose, hope I'll still qualify...
Here's the box the card comes in:

This weeks theme was Soft Furnishings. It couldn't have come at better time since I'm in using up the scraps mood! :D

2S4U challenge

I have been drooling over Kazans and Lauras sketches for a while so decided to have a go.

I also set myself couple of additional challenges:
1) Use up as many scraps as possible
2) Go for colours that usually wouldn't be my first pick
3) And the card has to be of practical value - meaning I'd actually have to know what I'll do with it! :D

Polka dot ribbon came from a packet of paper flowers, not enough for wrapping the card but enough for a bow. Papers are from my scrap bag, heart is made of chipboard from paper pack backing (stamping & UTEE), flowers are cheapo ones from Ebay altered with acrylics and stamping. :D

Lavender & green are usually not my first choice colour combination but I kinda like it after finishing the card.

Have mercy!

I just started playing with papers in the beginning of the summer and already it has grown into major obsession (and a lethal shopping addiction).

But I'm having so much fun!

Anyway, just to prove that I HAVE actually managed to do something beside buying heaps of new stash - here comes:

Get Well card for a family friend:

Papers are K & Co and Sassafrass Lass, flowers from Prima. Making Memories Thickers, vintage images printed from various online resources, lace unidentified, from my own stash, hearts are made from cardstock and glitter glue/acrylic paints using Heidi Swapp hearts as templates.

Going away card for friends who heartlessly decided to move into another country:
I am not really sure of the origins of most of the stuff I used, definitely Papermania papers and Basic Gray chipboard though.

And one of the numerous baby cards I've made this summer:
Chipboard from Basic Grey and K&Co, papers mainly K&Co (I think), ribbon Papermania, flowers Prima, dingbat used for baby image with chalks and Sakura gel pens, rub-ons Papermania, buttons and fibers from my stash.
